Roll codes are the earliest bit of logic that lead to building Cassette Nest. They follow this pattern:
format-type-sequence
The main gist of it is that every roll you ever load into a camera will have a unique code per year. The purpose of this is to have a unique identifier for every roll in your collection. Write this number on your sleeve of negatives and you'll never forget the details for a roll!
Every time you load a roll of film into a camera in Cassette Nest, the roll code will be generated for you.
What does it all mean? A code made up of 3 pieces:

” would be the 11th roll of 35mm color negative film in a given year.120-e6-3
” would be the 3rd roll of medium format color slide film in a given year.
